Saturday night’s game against Alabama A&M will mean a lot to Auburn QB Jeremy Johnson.

In addition to getting the start in place of the injured Sean White, Johnson, a senior, will be playing his last game at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Johnson has been largely overlooked this season after White, a sophomore, earned the starting job and JUCO transfer John Franklin III has served as the primary backup.

On Saturday afternoon, Johnson posted a picture on his Instagram page of him with White and said he’d be playing in honor of his injured teammate on Saturday night:

Johnson has thrown for 1,950 yards and 19 touchdowns in his Auburn career. He’s added seven touchdowns on the ground.

Auburn hosts Alabama A&M at 6:30 p.m. Central time Saturday night. The game can be seen on the SEC Network.
