San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick and DB Eric Reid (an ex-LSU player) exercised their First Amendment right by taking a knee in protest during the national anthem before Monday night’s 49ers-Rams football game.
Former Alabama DL Quinton Dial also exercised his rights by helping the assembled military members hold the flag during the anthem:

Dial, a fifth-round pick of the Niners in 2013, won two national championships as a member of the Crimson Tide.
