If you haven’t gotten wind of the tragic news out of Auburn over the weekend, Tigers H-Back Jakell Mitchell was shot and killed at his apartment complex.

The news shocked the state of Alabama, causing players, coaches and fans to put aside school allegiances.

Former Alabama standout and current Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley honored Mitchell with a message on his cleats Sunday.

SEC fans were reminded early Sunday morning that life does exist beyond football. Since the news broke, waves of support and messages from around the SEC have been sent to Mitchell’s family and the Auburn program.
