The best receiver playing in the NFL today has some good news as Atlanta Falcons playmaker Julio Jones posted a photo to his Instagram account Monday evening calling his recent foot surgery a success.
Here’s the photo the all-time great Alabama receiver posted, with the following caption:Â “Surgery was a success! Thanks to all that prayed for me #jetlife #blessed.”
Despite playing through a foot injury last season, Jones managed to suit up for 14 games last season for the Falcons. Jones had 83 catches for 1409 yards and six touchdowns in the regular season in 2016. During the NFL Playoffs, Jones took his game to another level, racking up 24 catches for 334 yards and three touchdowns.
His highlight reel catch nearly won Atlanta the Super Bowl, by putting the team into field goal range late in the game — although we all know it didn’t work out that way for Jones and the Falcons. After having his foot issue corrected this offseason, expect Jones to return to the field as one of the most elite athletes the NFL has to offer in the upcoming season.
