Georgia senior linebacker Ryne Rankin had himself a successful weekend, as the Bulldog special teams ace proposed to his girlfriend, Georgia cheerleader Makenzie Blalock – and of course she said yes.

Making the moment even more memorable, Rankin got down on one knee right in front of Sanford Stadium:

Later that evening, Blalock revealed that the relationship began over a direct message – proving there is hope for all relationships that start online:

After making appearances in 31 games over the past three seasons, Rankin is about to begin his final campaign in Athens. Rankin’s was voted Georgia’s special teams MVP in 2015, a season after he was voted Most Improved Player on the team at the conclusion of the 2014 season.
