In case you weren’t convinced that North Carolina was a basketball school, even their football practice helmets now have basketballs on them.

The Tar Heels’ athletic department has a partnership with the Jordan Brand, and now that sponsorship will be evident on UNC’s practice helmets.

As you can see in the photo below, the helmets feature the logo prominently on the side:

The Jordan Brand will also create North Carolina’s uniforms and cleats this fall, with the logo less prominently featured.

However, during practice sessions this season, the Tar Heels will constantly be reminded of (and perhaps inspired by) the fact that they play for the school that produced perhaps the greatest athlete in the history of the NBA.
