The Missouri Tigers won’t be going bowling next month, so Friday afternoon’s game against Arkansas is the end of their season.

It’s also the last time senior LB Donavin Newsom will take the field as a college player. Fellow senior LB Michael Scherer injured his knee earlier this season, prematurely ending his Mizzou career.

To honor Scherer, Newsom will ditch his usual No. 25 and don the No. 30 jersey on Friday, which has belonged to Scherer the last few years:

Newsom and Scherer have been through some serious ups and downs with the Tigers the past few seasons and their senior seasons certainly haven’t gone according to plan.

Still, it’s a nice gesture for Newsom to honor Scherer with the number switch for Friday’s game against Arkansas.

Watch the Tigers and Razorbacks in action at 2:30 p.m. Central time and can be seen on CBS.
