Photo: A single handwritten Christmas gift made an Alabama fan’s dream come true

What’s the best Christmas present you’ve ever received?
A popular post on Reddit, user Handlitt33’s dream came true this Christmas when his mother handed him a single handwritten note. Here’s what the user wrote on Reddit and the image that was shared:
Alabama fan since birth, never been to any college football game, but a huge fan. Joined the Army out of high school and spent most of the last two decades no where near Tuscaloosa. Had a couple of times where I was close to seeing a game, but it never happened.
My mom handed me this note as my gift and I started weeping like a baby. There’s no way I could have been able to afford it myself, I feel very fortunate.
Let me first thank Handlitt33 for the service to our great country, and we’re all indebted to our military who unselfishly defend our freedom.
Secondly, how awesome is that? The user has never been to an Alabama game before, and the first-ever game will be the College Football Playoff clash against Washington. Talk about an awesome gift and one that will never be forgotten.
The only thing that could have made this better would be raw video footage. We’ve certainly seen them before, and they’re outstanding.
