South Carolina at Vanderbilt isn’t exactly a marquee Thursday night matchup in the college football world, but you’d think a decent-sized crowd would show up for the Commodores’ season opener.
Over in Knoxville, more than 100,000 fans showed up for the Tennessee-Appalachian State matchup.
Let’s just say that wasn’t the case in Nashville:

It appears Vandy fans didn’t respond to coach Derek Mason’s open letter about filling the stadium.
South Carolina fans at least made the pilgrimage to Nashville to cheer on their Gamecocks, based on this photo.
Let’s hope more Vandy fans show up to Saturday games this season.
