Update: Veteran Tennessee receiver Josh Smith in walking boot on gameday, likely out
Tennessee is expected to handle Ohio at home this Saturday but could have to do so without the help of veteran receiver Josh Smith.
During pregame activities, Smith was out seen of uniform and spotted wearing a boot on his injured right foot:

With Tennessee’s starting slot receiver likely out of the lineup, look for true freshman Tyler Byrd to get his first extensive look during his third career game as a Volunteer. If Byrd performs up to his lofty recruiting ranking, he could prove to be a difference-maker for an offense in need of a spark in the passing game.
Smith has caught 45 passes for 624 yards and four touchdowns over the past three seasons heading into the 2016 season.
Update: Smith was announced as a starter in the stadium during pre-game, but it’s highly unlikely that he’ll play due to not going through pregame.
