PHOTOS: Mississippi State unveils incredible new Adidas military tribute uniforms

On Monday, Mississippi State unveiled a new uniform, the “Primeknit A1 ‘Statesman’” inspired by the Mississippi Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III, the Spirit of G.V. ‘Sonny’ Montgomery.
The uniforms will be worn on Nov. 17 when Mississippi State hosts Arkansas, MSU’s first home game after Veterans Day (Nov. 11).
Photos of the new uniforms were shared via the team’s Twitter account.
This video also shows off the new unis and their inspiration, the “Spirit of Sonny.”

The late Gillespie V. “Sonny” Montgomery was a major general of the Mississippi National Guard who served during World War II. He later served in the U.S. House of Representatives 1967–1997.
