The 2025 college football season has been one for the history books in College Station. That was the case before Texas A&M’s tremendous comeback victory over South Carolina on Saturday. Afterward, the Aggies are even higher than Cloud Nine.
Texas A&M’s Week 12 roller coaster ride is the primary focus of this week’s SEC Shorts. The episode kicks off with the Aggies’ hope meter maxing out as they “buy the hype.” This leads “Battered Aggies Syndrome” to morph into its monstrous “final form” and wreck the entire first half versus the Gamecocks, making Texas A&M miss a field goal and turn the ball over 3 times.
The Aggies went into the locker room trailing 30-3 after Battered Aggie Syndrome’s actions. Thankfully, this led South Carolina to get over its skis, causing “Premature Cockiness” to take over. In the end, the Gamecocks’ curse outdueled Battered Aggie Syndrome, allowing Texas A&M to pull off the biggest comeback in school history.
While the episode centered on the Aggies, there were nods throughout to action across the conference. We got to see Georgia physically beat up Texas and Oklahoma (presumably) knock Alabama out of the running for a first-round College Football Playoff bye (at least temporarily).
