Report: Dak Prescott to visit 4 NFL teams in April leading up to draft
Dak Prescott’s April itinerary is filling up fast as the former Mississippi State QB will visit four teams in advance of the NFL Draft on April 28.
According to NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread, Prescott will visit the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are clearly interested in Prescott after working him out at the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine while holding a private workout with him this past Monday. On Wednesday, Cardinals quarterbacks coach Freddie Kitchens — a former Mississippi State assistant who coached tight ends in 2004 and running backs in 2005 — worked Prescott out in Starkville.
Prescott’s DUI arrest on March 12 has clearly not diminished the interest level of NFL teams in need of a quarterback.
“I took full responsibility for it and I felt like both teams wanted to know that it’s not who I am,” Prescott told Goodbread. “I didn’t try to lessen it, by any means. I explained what happened. It was my fault and the damage is done. Right now it’s about overcoming it, and not letting it affect me in a negative way. It was a learning situation for me, and I took something away from it. It’s going to make me a better person from that point forward.”
The Broncos are in sore need of a signal-caller after losing Peyton Manning to retirement and Brock Osweiler to free agency, and the Eagles’ job is far from solidified with Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals’ Carson Palmer just turned 36 in December, while the Cowboys’ Tony Romo will turn 36 exactly one week prior to the start of the draft.
