President Trump asks if Alabama will play football this fall; chancellor Finis St. John responds

As COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country, there are some concerns in the college football world ahead of the 2020 season.
The season is set to start in September, but there has been some discussion about potentially pushing it back to the spring.
During a meeting with president Donald Trump on Tuesday, University of Alabama system chancellor Finis St. John was asked if the Tide would be playing. Here’s what he had to say:

“Mr. President, that’s not the first time we’ve heard that question, I can promise you,” St. John said to laughter from the room. “We are planning to play the season at the University of Alabama. We understand that creates great difficulties and complexities and we’re hoping for that. It’s important to a lot of people. We’ll do our best on that one.”
We’ll see if the season actually starts on time, but for now, things are moving toward Week 1 still being held in September.
