The 2017 NFL Draft figures to be SEC-heavy in the first round. With some of college football’s top pro prospects hailing from the conference, many mock drafts project SEC players to be called early and often.

Pro Football Focus is no different. Steve Palazzolo released his second mock draft for the site on Sunday, and 14 SEC players are included. Eight teams are projected to have players picked in the first round, and Alabama leads the way with four.

Here’s how it breaks down.

No. 1 (Cleveland): Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M

No. 3 (Jacksonville): Jonathan Allen, DT, Alabama

No. 4 (Chicago): Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee

No. 6 (Tennessee): Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida

No. 8 (New Orleans): Reuben Foster, LB, Alabama

No. 13 (Indianapolis): Tim Williams, DE, Alabama

N0. 14 (Buffalo): Leonard Fournette, RB, LSU

No. 16 (Baltimore): Carl Lawson, DE, Auburn

No. 20 (Miami): Zach Cunningham, LB, Vanderbilt

No. 24 (Atlanta): Charles Harris, DE, Missouri

No. 25 (Pittsburgh): Jamal Adams, S, LSU

No. 29 (Kansas City): Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU

No. 30 (Oakland): Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida

No. 31 (New England): O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama

The SEC has been the best conference at putting players into the NFL in recent years, and this one is shaping up to be no different. Nearly half of the first round is projected to be comprised of SEC talent.
