Following his forced exit from Arkansas, Bret Bielema is going back to school — coaching school that is. The former Razorback coach has been spotted working for the New England Patriots, most notably on Alabama’s campus of all places, and will reportedly stay on with the NFL franchise this summer.
That’s according to ESPN NFL insider Field Yates, who reports Bielema will help the Patriots coaching staff following the latest draft process.
This news follows an earlier Sports Illustrated offseason story on Bielema’s options in his post-Arkansas career. Among them, joining television as a football analyst or jumping back into coaching. It will be interesting to see where Bielema’s journey takes him next, as he could stay in the NFL potentially or he could throw his name into the ring during the next coaching cycle following the in the next college football season.
