SEC Week 11 prop bets:
AMARI COOPER’S RECEIVING TOTAL IN DEATH VALLEY?
Options — 100 or less; 101 to 150; 151 to 200; 201 or more
Projection: If Amari Cooper needs Heisman moments, he’s going to get the opportunity over Alabama’s next two games beginning with Saturday night’s rivalry tussle in Baton Rouge. One of the reasons the dynamic junior wideout set a personal high with 224 yards last time out was due to Tennessee’s corners backing off the line of scrimmage according to Nick Saban. By the time the Vols adjusted their game plan in the second half, it was too late. How will John Chavis and LSU defend No. 9? It’s in their best interest to get in his grill early, make things uncomfortable at the start. If Cooper gets room to work on the boundary, it’s off to the races for the nation’s best receiver. He’ll definitely exceed 100 yards with 150 being an option.
AUBURN’S TOTAL TOUCHDOWNS VS. TEXAS A&M
Options — 1 or fewer; 2-3; 4-5; 6 or more
Projection: I was asked on radio Thursday if there’s a chance Gus Malzahn’s offense could score sixty points against the SEC West’s worst defense on Saturday. There comes a point where Mark Snyder’s unit at Texas A&M gets tired of being the media’s punching bag, right? Texas A&M’s giving up touchdowns in the SEC at a rapid rate and has already been bludgeoned by the state of Alabama’s other elite. It’s a fair guess to think the Aggies show some pride on the Plains and cover the three-touchdown spread, but that doesn’t mean Auburn won’t light up the scoreboard. Searching for style points in the fourth quarter, let’s go with six or more scores for the Tigers.
