Texas got off to a slow start against Colorado State, but Quinn Ewers and the Longhorns offense got rolling to pull away from the Rams.

One of the highlights was a no-look touchdown pass by Ewers that had former Texas Longhorn and current Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Echo comparing it to Matt Stafford’s pass in Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ewers fooled the Colorado State defense with his eyes and then found Matthew Golden over the middle of the field for the score:

It was only 7-0 for the Longhorns after the first quarter, as Ewers threw an early interception. However, he was spectacular the rest of the way, finishing with 260 yards and three touchdowns, including that 11-yard highlight to Golden.

The Longhorns are up 45-0 nearing the fourth quarter, and coach Steve Sarkisian has put in his backup, Arch Manning. Manning threw a touchdown late in the third quarter.

While Texas is in complete control against Colorado State, there is a bigger test looming next week as the Longhorns travel to Ann Arbor to take on the defending national champion, Michigan Wolverines.

That game will be at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
