Quinshon Judkins’ rookie season may have come to a premature end.
Late in the second quarter of the Cleveland Browns’ Week 16 game against the Buffalo Bills, Judkins caught a screen pass and was tackled by the Bills’ Matt Milano. He remained on the ground in serious pain before being carted off the field.
Not long afterwards, the Browns officially ruled Judkins out for the remainder of the game.
CBS opted not to show the replay of the injury, which is a telltale sign of the severity of the injury. It almost certainly will end the rookie’s season.
After coming off winning a national championship with Ohio State, Judkins has had a terrific first year in the NFL. At the time of his departure, he had run for 805 yards and seven touchdowns on 222 carries. He had posted eight carries for 22 yards on Sunday. On Oct. 5 against the Minnesota Vikings, he had the best game of his young career, taking 23 carries for 110 yards.
Judkins ran for 1,567 yards and 16 touchdowns as a true freshman at Ole Miss, following that up with 1,158 yards and 15 touchdowns as a sophomore.
He transferred to Ohio State after the 2023 season, running for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns.
