As NFL training camp continues to get closer, teams are making roster moves to get to that desired number.

As part of that process, the Oakland Raiders cut three players Friday, including former Florida Gators LB Neiron Ball. Ball was a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and played in six games for the Raiders that year. He made seven tackles, including his first NFL sack.

However, Ball spent last season on injured reserve and was finally waived with a non-football injury designation Friday.

The Jackson, Georgia, native played at Florida from 2010-2014. In February of 2011, Ball was diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation (AVM) by neurosurgeons and later had a procedure called stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). He missed the 2011 season but returned in 2012. Ball racked up 94 tackles, including 5.5 for loss and three sacks, during his four-year career in Gainesville.
