Former Georgia RB D’Andre Swift turned some heads at the NFL Combine on Friday, staying in the mix to be the first running back off the board in the 2020 NFL Draft.

He’s a versatile guy who can both run and catch the ball out of the backfield, which is what NFL teams like these days.

Las Vegas Raiders GM Mike Mayock was in attendance and compared Swift to former Alabama RB Josh Jacobs, who had a great rookie season for the Raiders (via 247Sports):

“I watched him play in high school,” Mayock said of Swift. “He’s a St. Joe’s Prep kid out of Philadelphia where I’m from. I loved him in high school. A lot of people thought he would run whatever number, but 4.5 is about what he is. His lateral quickness and agility, the ability to make you miss, catch the football. That’s what Josh (Jacobs) was for us last year.”

We’ll see if Swift goes in Round 1. There’s a chance he could be the first running back selected.

Jacobs was a Round 1 pick and fared well for the Raiders. Can Swift follow in his footsteps?
