Randy Moss was one of the best receivers to ever step foot on a football field.
And though the former Vikings and Patriots great did not play in the SEC, his son was giving it some serious thought.
Thaddeus Moss is rated as the 18th best tight end in the 2016 247Sports composite rankings, and made official visits to Texas A&M and Georgia during the recruiting process.
But based on a Tweet the younger Moss made on Saturday, it looks like he’ll be playing in his home state of North Carolina instead:
I'm beyond blessed to announce that I will be shutting down my recruitment and committing to Nc State❗️❗️❗️#Pack16 pic.twitter.com/rKPgAd8z6o

According to 247Sports, Moss had offers from at least six SEC schools, and was a predicted favorite to commit to Texas A&M in the site’s “Crystal Ball” predictions.
