There’s renewed optimism in Fayetteville with the Hogs’ new coaching staff.

Arkansas held its annual Red-White spring game Saturday, and several players stood out on defense. Among them was DE Randy Ramsey, who recorded two of Arkansas’ seven defensive sacks. Ramsey really impressed and could be a big-time contributor for the Hogs defense.

It’s safe to say that Ramsey is glad John Chavis and his staff are now dialing up the pressure:

Let’s not sugarcoat things, though. The Hogs’ offensive line didn’t have that great of a showing, but nonetheless, Ramsey looked unblockable at times Saturday. One thing is clear — Chavis and company will be more aggressive on defense than in previous years, and Ramsey stands to be one of the players to benefit the most.
