Week 10 gave us a great slate of games that didn’t disappoint involving SEC teams and around the country. We almost saw a few upsets, but top 10 teams survived in Morgantown and Oxford.
Looking back at Saturday’s schedule of games, let’s take a trip around the country to the five best environments in Week 10:
1. Milan Puskar Stadium, West Virginia
Morgantown put on a show on Saturday, didn’t it? From College GameDay to the game against No. 6 TCU, the Mountaineer faithful embraced the stage. A crowd of 61,190 packed in Milan Puskar Stadium, only to see West Virginia lose a one-point heartbreaker. Still, Brad Paisley was a great guest picker on GameDay, and students camped out all week. Apart from the win, West Virginia looked good on Saturday.
I can’t compliment the fans enough for last night’s atmosphere. Milan Puskar Stadium was rocking in terrible weather. It was amazing! #WVU

2. Davis-Wade Stadium, Mississippi State The Bulldogs returned home for their first game as college football’s No. 1 team, and the maroon-and-white clad fans continue to make Starkville arguably the toughest place to play this season. A crowd of 62,307, which ranks second all-time at Davis-Wade Stadium, saw the Bulldogs survive and advance.
First time at Davis Wade Stadium since it was renovated. I don’t remember it being this loud. This place is fired up. — Bo Mattingly (@SportsTalkwBo) November 1, 2014
3. Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, Ole Miss
Ole Miss never loses a party, but unfortunately for the Rebels faithful, Hugh Freeze’s team lost its second straight game. A crowd of 62,090 is the third largest in Ole Miss history. Many touted the matchup with Auburn as the biggest game in Vaught-Hemingway history, which says a lot considering the tradition in Oxford.
Tonights attendance is 62, 090 which is the third largest crowd at Vaught Hemingway Stadium #BestFans

4. Everbank Field, Jacksonville, Fla. One of college football’s great scenes is in Jacksonville when Georgia and Florida meet up. Formerly known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, there’s nothing quite like the multi-day event at The Landing. The NFL team that plays there isn’t any good, so when the stadium is split down the middle with half being red and black and the other being orange and blue, it’s a great scene.
S/O to all of the Gators fans who made the trip to @EverBankField. #ItsGreatUF #GoGators pic.twitter.com/cX0Cbaxmyz — Univ of Florida (@UF) November 1, 2014
5. Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, Louisville
The Louisville Cardinals surrendered a 21-point lead in the loss to LSU, but Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium can be one of college football’s loudest environments, especially on Thursday nights. A crowd of 55,414 is a new stadium record, but the home team couldn’t hold onto its lead over No. 2 Florida State. Still, it was a hostile environment.
That may be the loudest I’ve ever heard Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
