There was top 10 shakeup on around college football on Saturday, while other highly-ranked teams won big.
Looking back at Saturday’s schedule of games, let’s take a trip around the country to the five best environments in Week 11:
1. Tiger Stadium, LSU
“It’s Saturday night in Death Valley…” Nothing compares to a night game on the Bayou, especially when the opponent is Alabama. Les Miles described it best prior to Saturday night’s tilt saying that “100,000 people will connect in an intimate fashion.” The Bayou Bengals provided a test, with the game coming down to the last play. Entering the game, Les Miles had won 92 percent of night games at Death Valley.
Tiger Stadium even louder following stadium expansion? Yep.

2. Sun Devil Stadium, Arizona State What a roller-coaster game in the desert. Todd Graham’s Arizona State team impressed Saturday against Notre Dame, as did the Sun Devils faithful. A sellout crowd of 65,000 saw Arizona State make its case as a legitimate College Football Playoff contender. For many on the East Coast, it was a rare chance to see the Sun Devils play and an offensive outburst of 55 points — after nearly surrendering a 31-3 lead — did not disappoint.
I’m down on the field right now. The energy, atmosphere is pretty incredible at Sun Devil Stadium — Paola Boivin (@PaolaBoivin) November 9, 2014
3. Spartan Stadium, Michigan State
The Michigan State faithful have cracked this list a few times this season, and with the exception of the explosion of points, this was Big Ten football at its core. A cold, wintry night for a game with massive postseason implications. It was Brutus the Buckeye’s night, however as a sea of red and O-H-I-O chants made its way to East Lansing. ESPN’s College GameDay was on site, but the night was spoiled for Sparty.
The O-H-I-O chant is making its way around Spartan Stadium and it’s beautiful. https://t.co/sgmHQpdOUA

4. Amon G. Carter Stadium, TCU Saturday night’s attendance of 48,012 ranks third in stadium history, and over half of the student body showed up for a huge Big 12 showdown with Kansas State. The Horned Frogs faithful blacked out Amon G. Carter Stadium to raise cancer awareness against the Wildcats, and Gary Patterson’s team responded. It was the first time top 10-ranked teams squared off at Amon G. Carter Stadium and the Horned Frogs got the big win led by Trevone Boykin.

5. Rice-Eccles Stadium, Utah
On a day in which West Coast teams got their chance in primetime, Utah’s Rice-Eccles Stadium did not disappoint. Many expected the ultimate trap game for the No. 4 Ducks in a night game at the Utes’ raucous venue. It quickly looked as if Utah would take a 14-0 lead, until Kaelin Clay dropped the football prior to the goal line. The ball was never blown dead and Oregon picked it up and returned it for a 99-yard touchdown. That took the air out of the heckling Utes fans. Oregon fans respected the environment, however.
Also lord help anyone that has to play at Rice-Eccles. Easily the craziest away stadium the Ducks have played at in awhile
