Week 12 gave us a wild weekend in the SEC and around college football.
Looking back at Saturday’s schedule of games, let’s take a trip around the country to the five best environments in Week 12:
1. Sun Life Stadium, Miami
It was a rare sellout in Miami on Saturday night for ‘Canes-‘Noles. College football in south Florida hasn’t been as good since the Hurricanes left the Orange Bowl, but the environment on Saturday night as then-No. 3 Florida State came calling was electric. Miami almost pulled the upset, but an interception late sealed the game for the Seminoles.
I can confirm that tailgating outside of Sun Life Stadium in Miami was loud. Should be a large, well-fueled crowd here.

2. Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, Arkansas
Well done, Arkansas fans. Head coach Bret Bielema challenged the Razorbacks faithful earlier in the week to get acclimated to the cold temperatures, and did they ever show up. A reported attendance of 70,165 packed out Razorback Stadium to see the Hogs snap their 17-game SEC losing streak. The scene on the field after the game was incredible, also.

3. Bryant-Denny Stadium, Alabama
Alabama again was the center of the college football world on Saturday afternoon, and Bryant-Denny Stadium was electric as the nation’s No. 1 team made the short 84-mile trip to Tuscaloosa. Mississippi State looked shaken by the environment as the crowd fed an Alabama defense that feasted on Dak Prescott and company.

4. TCF Bank Stadium, Minnesota
It was classic B1G football in Minneapolis on Saturday afternoon. Minnesota officials paid people $10 per hour to shovel snow inside the stadium, and the kickoff temperature of 15 degrees was coldest in stadium history. Minnesota fans braved the snow to see their Golden Gophers nearly pull an upset on Ohio State.
Crew at @TCFBankStadium did a great job removing the snow and ice. Thanks to all who helped! #Gophers pic.twitter.com/q8kHAcd77S — Minnesota Football (@GopherFootball) November 14, 2014
5. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee
After a reported gas leak forced Neyland Stadium to be evacuated on Saturday morning, activities went on as planned on Saturday night as Tennessee stomped Kentucky on Rocky Top. A sold-out crowd of 102,455 packed Neyland Stadium on a chilly fall Saturday. There are few places more scenic during college football season.
