Mississippi State and Ole Miss are in a tough defensive battle in the Egg Bowl.
The Bulldogs haven’t beaten the Rebels in 2 straight games. However, they’ve taken a 24-16 lead with less than 8 minutes left in regulation in Oxford.
Bulldogs quarterback Will Rogers capped an 8-play, 55-yard, 4-minute drive with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Rara Thomas. A missed assignment by Ole Miss CB Miles Battle meant that Thomas was wide open as he made the grab and ran in untouched.
As you can see below, though, the sophomore from Alabama began to limp after he made the catch:
Rara Thomas with a WIDE OPEN touchdown ???
? Hopefully he’s okay after going down with an injury after the play https://t.co/0rLkd3joty

However, that didn’t stop him from talking trash to the Ole Miss faithful in the stands.
We should be in for quite an ending to the Egg Bowl. Will the Bulldogs see this one out, or can the Rebels jump back in front and extend their winning streak in the series to 3 games?
