Rashad Fenton goes from working concessions to winning the Super Bowl in Hard Rock Stadium
Deebo Samuel may have been the rookie from South Carolina that made the most plays during the latest Super Bowl but it was another rookie from South Carolina that ended the night with one of the best stories by the time the clock hit double zero in Miami.
Kansas City rookie defensive back Rashad Fenton is now a Super Bowl champion. Being a part of a historic run to the NFL championship has to be a wild ride for any rookie player but the fact that Fenton’s first season came down to the Super Bowl in Hard Rock Stadium is incredible considering he has a history with the stadium.
Before he appeared in 48 games for the Gamecocks and developed into the lockdown corner for Will Muschamp’s South Carolina defense, the Miami native worked concessions at Hard Rock Stadium during his time at Miami Carol City High School.
After Kansas City won the Super Bowl by beating San Francisco 31-20, Fenton had a special message to share.
Chiefs rookie CB Rashad Fenton used to work concessions at Hard Rock Stadium as a high schooler.
Tonight he won a Super Bowl in the building.

Fenton was not a starter for the Chiefs but saw the field more and more down the stretch of his rookie season, including in every playoff game the Chiefs played. The team selected Fenton in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
After the game, Fenton and Samuel shared a moment as the two former Gamecocks embraced after the latest Super Bowl.
