When it was revealed that FSU DB Derwin James had surgery on his foot two weeks ago, one might wonder if the talented defensive back could be out for the Week 1 showdown between Florida State and Ole Miss.
James is letting the Rebels know they can still expect to see him come Labor Day when the teams meet in Orlando.

As a freshman, James made 91 tackles, second among FSU defenders. The former five-star prospect was also second in tackles for loss (9.5) and sacks (4.5).
