Rece Davis remembered Kayvon Thibodeaux’s shot at the University of Alabama. Davis, a UA alum, cleverly trolled Thibodeaux’s past use of “stigmatism” as a shot at Alabama by referencing “astigmatism,” an eye issue, when talking about the first-round pick out of Oregon.
During ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage, Davis remarked, “If you miss on high draft choices early there’s certainly a stigma that sticks with you, but you’d have to have some type of real astigmatism not to see the talent from Kayvon Thibodeaux.”

Thibodeaux got the attention of Alabama fans, especially UA alums, in January when he took a shot at the quality of the education offered in Tuscaloosa. Joel Klatt asked Thibodeaux about choosing Oregon over Alabama. Thibodeaux brought up not wanting to be known as a “dumb jock.”
“For me, I already hate the stigmatism of football players being dumb jocks,” Thibodeaux said.
Klatt responded, “Totally.”
“Do you know the stigmatism of Alabama education?” Thibodeaux asked Klatt.
Rece Davis just said “stigmatism” on live TV as a joke.
