In just one week, Vegas point spreads for Alabama football games have shifted dramatically.

As national college football insider Brett McMurphy pointed out Sunday on Twitter, the odds makers are drastically increasing their point spreads to favor the Crimson Tide.

Last week, the spread for Alabama vs. Tennessee was -24 in favor of the Tide. It increased to -35 Sunday. Alabama vs. LSU went from -14 to -24.5, via the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.

Perhaps it’s the fact that Alabama has not only won, and not only dominated, but absolutely controlled its first two games against SEC competition that has cause Vegas to shift its spreads.

Alabama beat Vanderbilt 59-0 on the road in Week 4 and followed that performance with a 66-3 win over Ole Miss Saturday.

As it stands now, the Crimson Tide looks completely unstoppable.

Couple that with the fact that Tennessee was shut out 41-0 by Georgia and LSU was upset 24-21 by Troy, and it’s easy to see why these spreads have shifted.
