Recruiting in 2021: 9-year-old commits to Georgia high school

Football recruiting has changed a lot over the years. More and more, coaches are looking at younger prospects early in the process of making evaluations and extending. An announcement shared by MaxPreps this weekend, however, raises some eyebrows.

Dashaun Morris II, just 9 years old, got the Hayes Fawcett Edit treatment to announce his commitment to play high school football for the Grayson Rams, as you can see in the below Instagram post from MaxPreps.

Considering how talented Morris is at age 9, we’re probably just a few years away from talking about him as an SEC target.
