What are the Top 50 moments in the long, illustrious history of college football?

That’s what CFB Reddit user “RebelNutt18” set out to determine when he started a poll of the site’s readers.

At the end of the process, he wound up with a pretty solid list, which can be seen in it’s entirety here.

Spoiler alert: Rutgers and Princeton (formerly College of New Jersey) playing the first college football game ever in 1869 was voted as the top moment. After all, we may not be here watching the game we love today had that first moment not happened when and how it did.

As far the SEC goes, the current 14 member schools played a direct part in 10 of the 50 moments.

Here’s a quick run down of each of those moments and where they ranked on the list:

16. 2013: Auburn’s kick six victory against Alabama
21. 1999: Texas A&M endures the bonfire tragedy
23. 1998: Arkansas QB Clint Stoerner fumbles, giving Tennessee a late victory
31. 2002: LSU beats Kentucky with the “Bluegrass Miracle”
40. 2015: Arkansas converts 4th and 25 in overtime against Ole Miss
42. 2013: Auburn’s miracle catch to beat Georgia
43. 1972: Auburn beats Alabama with “Punt Bama Punt” play
44. 1954: Alabama vs. Rice in Cotton Bowl, Tommy Lewis comes off bench to make hit
46. 1980: Georgia vs. Florida: “Run Lindsey!”
47. 2013: South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney lands unbelievable hit in Michigan backfield
