It’s never too early to start making picks for the first game of the season. We’ve seen what various Las Vegas handicappers anticipate, but what about the fans?
Over on reddit’s r/cfb, fan’s are voting on who they think will win each game as part of a user’s simulated season project. Here’s how college football fans see the SEC teams doing in Week 1:
- Appalachian State (7.4 percent of votes) vs. Tennessee (92.6 percent)
- South Carolina (68.1) vs. Vanderbilt (31.9)
- South Alabama (1.4) vs. Mississippi State (98.6)
- Missouri (28.3) vs. West Virginia (71.7)
- LSU (85.3) vs. Wisconsin (14.7)
- UCLA (60.2) vs. Texas A&M (39.8)
- Louisiana Tech (4.1) vs. Arkansas (95.9)
- Georgia (70.3) vs. North Carolina (29.7)
- Southern Mississippi (11) vs. Kentucky (89)
- UMass (0.6) vs. Florida (99.4)
- USC (11.3) vs. Alabama (88.7)
- Clemson (85.7) vs. Auburn (14.3)
- Ole Miss (23.2) vs. Florida State (76.8)
Here’s what the votes show:
- Reddit users see nine of the conference’s 14 teams getting a Week 1 victory.
- The SEC isn’t expected to dominate the Power 5. In the seven games with Power 5 foes, the SEC goes 3-4 judging by user votes.
- A UMass upset over Florida in The Swamp would shock the college football world.
