When the Alliance of American Football started up earlier this year, a number of analysts and assistants from the college football ranks left for the new league.

Of course, the league flamed out in spectacular fashion, lasting only a few short weeks before it shut down for good, leaving players and coaches without jobs.

Fortunately for former Alabama offensive analyst Alex Mortensen, he has reportedly been welcomed back to Tuscaloosa after serving as the WR coach for the Birmingham Iron:

Mortensen was with the Tide from 2014 to 2018, and with the timing of this move, he won’t miss a single season with Nick Saban’s staff.

Mortensen seemingly will resume his old duties.
