The coaching staff overhaul isn’t quite done in Tuscaloosa as Nick Saban has reportedly added another new assistant to the 2018 Alabama coaching staff.

The Crimson Tide have hired yet another analyst to the coaching roster, this time it’s longtime coach Lou Spanos. News of this hire comes from Matt Zentiz of AL.com. Spanos comes over from the Tennessee Titans, where he had been working as a linebackers coach. Spanos has collegiate experience, too, as he served as UCLA defensive coordinator from 2012-13.

Before joining the Bruins, Spanos had spent over a decade as an NFL assistant.

Considering he’s joining Saban’s program as an analyst, Spanos has an impressive resume that spans 24 years of coaching at either the NFL or collegiate level. Spanos is originally from Pittsburgh and played on the offensive line at Tulsa from 1989-92.
