Since taking the Alabama job, former Buffalo coach Nate Oats has been a busy man, convincing players to withdraw from the NCAA transfer portal and putting together his first Crimson Tide recruiting class.
On Sunday night, he added a huge piece to the Alabama backcourt, picking up a commitment from a former 5-star Villanova point guard.
Per ESPN’s Jeff Borzello, PG Jahvon Quinerly has said he’ll be playing for the Crimson Tide in the near future:

Quinerly was only a freshman last season, so he’ll likely have to sit out the 2019-20 season, per NCAA transfer rules. However, he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining when he can return to the court.
As a freshman for Villanova, Quinerly appeared in 25 games, averaging only 9.1 minutes per contest. He averaged 3.2 points per game.
