One of the country’s hottest non-coordinator assistant coaches Tosh Lupoi isn’t expected to leave Alabama for Cal, according to FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman.

Lupoi is Alabama’s linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator, and him staying at Alabama is huge for the Crimson Tide. Not only is he a strong coach, but he’s a dynamic recruiter. And he is credited with recruiting the No. 1 player in the 2017 class Najee Harris to Alabama, and he’s credited with Alabama’s increased production in sacks.

Lupoi has ties to the Pac-12, as he’s coached at both Cal and Washington during his career. He joined the Crimson Tide defensive staff as an analyst for the 2014 season before being promoted to outside linebackers coach in 2015.
