Highly touted recruit Davlyon Nixon signed a National Letter of Intent with Iowa in July, but was ruled academically ineligible by the NCAA.
However, Nixon has been drawing some attention from the Alabama Crimson Tide lately, according to a report by HawkCentral.com.
In fact, Nixon seemed to confirm the news, tweeting about an offer from the Crimson Tide on Wednesday:
I am blessed to say that I received an offer from the university of Alabama‼️ ✡️????? #RollTide pic.twitter.com/vwMoKmnmlh

According to a report by SB Nation, Nixon’s National Letter of Intent with Iowa is likely still valid.
Even Iowa’s compliance office seems to think Alabama committed a violation:
NLI schools may not recruit/contact a PSA that has a valid NLI w/ Iowa. Just sayin'. @IowaAwesome @BHGP

It’s a confusing scenario, certainly, but it would appear as if Nixon was tampered with, even if it was innocent and unintentional.
However, the NCAA will surely have its attention drawn to this and it’ll be interesting to see what happens, if anything.
