The Alabama Crimson Tide have plenty of top-end talent returning to the wide receiver position in 2020, starting with DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle.

However, it appears they will lose some depth at the position, as a redshirt junior reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday.

Per AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, Tyrell Shavers will explore his transfer options ahead of the 2020 season:

Shavers appeared in 3 games for the Tide in 2019. He had 1 catch for 20 yards, 1 rush for 14 yards and recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown against Texas A&M.

He was a 4-star commit in the 2017 recruiting class. That class also included WRs Henry Ruggs III, Jerry Jeudy and DeVonta Smith. Where he ends up next remains to be seen.
