Report: Alabama will make $6 million for neutral-site opener against USC in 2020
It appears the speculation regarding a rematch of the 2016 season opener between Alabama and USC was accurate, as a contract for the game has been acquired by Kevin Kelley of FBSchedules.com.
After reviewing the contract, FBSchedules is reporting that Alabama will make $6 million to open the 2020 season in Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, which is home of the Dallas Cowboys. The Crimson Tide won the 2016 season opener over the Trojans in a 52-6 laugher.
Alabama also holds the all-time edge in the series against USC with a 6-2 overall record in eight contests.
News of the 2020 game was first reported in March by Jim Dunaway of WJOX radio in Birmingham.
My sources tell me Alabama vs. USC in Dallas to start the 2020 season and a later Home-and-Home with Texas is also in the works.@AlabamaFTBL #RollTide @TexasFootball @USC_Athletics https://t.co/UZzgeYHszq
