New Mexico State will be a big underdog against Arkansas when the two meet on Sept. 30, 2017, in Fayetteville. Still, you can already declare the Aggies a winner when it comes to the reported financial agreement between the programs.

According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, Arkansas will fork over a cool $1.35 million to host New Mexico State for the game. The newspaper reports that the Aggies also will receive $800,000 for a Sept. 2 game at Arizona State that season.

This is no new habit for the Razorbacks. WholeHogSports.com cites that Arkansas paid $1 million for a game against Toledo last year in Little Rock, and $500,000 went Tennessee-Martin’s way for a contest in Fayetteville.

What’s the cost of cupcakes these days? In Arkansas’ case, they don’t come cheap.
