The Auburn family received some sad news on Saturday as former Tiger great Quentin Groves tragically died.
Groves, 32, passed away on Saturday morning, according to 247Sports:
“Great kid,” said Joe Whitt Sr., a longtime Auburn assistant. “Just a really good person. It is hard to believe he is gone.”
Details surrounding Groves’ death are not known currently.
The ex-Tiger was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome in 2008, which causes a rapid heartbeat.
Groves was a second-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2008 NFL Draft. He played for five teams in his eight-year NFL career.
During his time with Auburn, Groves had 24 sacks.
