According to a report from 247Sports, Auburn leading rusher Kamryn Pettway will not play against Georgia on Saturday.
Pettway suffered a quad injury in last week’s victory over Vanderbilt. On the year, Pettway has rushed for 1,106 yards and seven touchdowns — including four-straight efforts with at least 150 yards on the ground.
While this will be a blow for Gus Malzahn’s offense, it has a very capable backup in Kerryon Johnson. Johnson’s rushed for over 600 yards and nine touchdowns on the year.
Expect him to get the lion’s share of the carries versus the Bulldogs.
