LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron will reportedly serve as the team’s interim head coach in the wake of Les Miles’ termination, according to Fox Sports’ Bruce Feldman.

Miles was reportedly fired by LSU Sunday afternoon, multiple sources confirmed to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. Former Offensive coordinator was also terminated, according to Dellenger.

Orgeron had previously served as USC’s interim coach following Lane Kiffin’s termination in 2013. He led the Trojans to a 6-2 (6-1 Pac-12) record in eight games.

The Louisiana native also served as Ole Miss’ coach from 2005-07. Orgeron led the Rebels to a 10-25 (3-21 SEC) record during that span.

His SEC experience also includes one season as Tennessee’s assistant head coach, defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator in 2009.
