Florida is in a world of hurt when it comes to injuries across its football team.
Complicating matters further, the Gators are desperately trying to hold off Tennessee and win the SEC East. Florida is traveling to Baton Rouge in order to take on a very hot LSU team.
In essence, Jim McElwain’s team needs to win this contest. If Florida drops this game, it needs Tennessee to lose one of its two remaining games — against SEC East cellar-dwellers in Vanderbilt and Mizzou.
Florida did get some good news Tuesday on the injury front. It was reported that talented DL CeCe Jefferson has returned to practice:

On the year, Jefferson has accrued 3.0 sacks, 19 tackles, and five quarterback hurries. Not only will his return help the Gators’ pass rush, but it will also aid in the monumental task of slowing the likes of Leonard Fournette and Derrius Guice.
