Florida broke Tennessee’s heart Saturday.

And after it ended, the Gators started building for the future, receiving their first commitment from the 2020 cycle in the form of defensive end Josh Griffis. And Griffis hadn’t mulled over the decision long; according to 247Sports, the Gators extended an offer to him as soon as he arrived in Gainesville on Saturday.

“I committed,” Griffis said, according to 247Sports. “It’s just where I live, it’s home. It’s home for me.”

247Sports reports that the offer came from Griffis’ area recruiter Tim Skipper, the Gators’ linebackers coach.

Griffis, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 220 pounds, has yet to be rated by 247Sports.
