Florida still has one regular-season game remaining. It could be the final game sophomore wide receiver Daquon Green plays for the Gators.

Green’s name appears in the NCAA new transfer portal according to 247Sports. While that doesn’t mean he will definitely transfer, other schools are now allowed to contact him.

Under the new NCAA rule which took effect this year, players who have entered their name into the portal can talk to other football programs. Green can remove his name from the portal whenever he wishes.

If Green is considering a transfer, that wouldn’t be all that much of a surprise. He has mostly played on special teams and didn’t make his first career catch until last week against Idaho.

In addition to the transfer portal, Green will probably be taking advantage of the new NCAA redshirt rules as well. He wasn’t able to redshirt last year after playing in two games. Green has appeared in three contests this season, which under the new rules, will allow him to redshirt as long as he doesn’t play in two more games. That could help him transfer

Coming out of high school, Green considered Auburn, Ohio State, Michigan, South Carolina and South Florida. It’s unclear at this time which schools he might consider if he is going to transfer.
