Report: Former Alabama coach Mike Price named interim head coach at UTEP

Talk about a blast from the past.
Former Alabama head coach Mike Price has been named the interim head coach at UTEP, according to CBS4Local’s Eric O’Brien. On Sunday, UTEP head coach Sean Kugler stepped down after starting 0-5.
Price, of course, is probably best known for his off-the-field incident during his brief stint at Alabama. Price was fired at Alabama in the spring of 2003 for actions that included a trip to a topless bar in Pensacola.
Alabama hired price from Washington State in December of 2002, and he coached the team during the 2003 spring practice. But he never got to coach a game for the Tide.
Price then went to UTEP and was the head coach for the Miners from 2004-2012.
