Report: Former Arkansas OL Frank Ragnow avoids serious injury after being carted off

On Saturday evening in a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions C Frank Ragnow was carted off with an ankle injury.

It looked bad in real-time, and he was unable to put weight on it walking off the field, but the Lions did get some good news on Saturday.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the former Arkansas standout only suffered a minor ankle sprain on the play:

Overall, this is good news for the Lions and for Ragnow. However, many say ankle sprains are more painful than broken ankles, so Ragnow will likely need at least a week or two to fully recover.
